That’s Some Pig.

I’ve seen this and that about the upcoming remake of Charlotte’s Web this Christmas, but today I actually saw the trailer for it and I must say – while maintaining my security as a man – that I’m kinda looking forward to it.

You have to understand, that I’m a Dad now. And lately at our house, the original Charlotte’s Web has been burning up our DVD player. Olivia loves the songs. I was excited to see that she likes movies that I watched when I was her age. Much better than some of the stuff they put out today (now if THAT doesn’t sound like a Dad, I don’t know what does.

Anyway, back to the movie. They’ve lined up an all-star cast of people like Dakota Fanning, Julia Roberts, Oprah Winfrey and others. Now, normally I don’t care for movies with real animals that “talk”, like Homeward Bound, etc, but this one actually looks like it’s enjoyable. Not to mention that the story is already a classic.

You’ll probably find me going to the theater for this one. Not alone, of course. What do you think I am, a loser?
