Our Girls: 6-Month Comparison

I know, I know, you’re not supposed to compare your children – but when they’re this young, does it REALLY matter?

Since Ellie just passed her 6-month mark, I thought it’d be interesting to see where she is – developmentally-wise – with where Olivia was at 6-months. The results are rather interesting. First a few photos:

Fittingly, the shot of Olivia above was taken the day we told our parents about Ellie being in “the oven”.

This shot of Ellie was taken at Laura’s wedding a couple weeks ago.

A couple of things pop out…you may or not be able to tell from these particular photos, BUT

Obviously the eyes are completely different.
Olivia’s are blue, Ellie’s are…???

Olivia already had a few teeth.
Ellie has none.

Olivia had quite a bit of hair.
Ellie has some.

Olivia has a much narrower and taller face.
Olivia has a rounder and shorter face.

Olivia is a bit longer in general.
Ellie’s a little rounder.

Both weighed about the same, I believe.

Both are equally amazing and beautiful in every way.

Every day is a new day to discover what these little girls are made of. We constantly look at each other in amazement that the Lord has blessed us so richly. Who will these little girls be as they grow? We’ll just have to watch and see. (let’s hope we don’t screw them up)
