Britain’s Got MAJOR Talent
Popularity: 21%
I can’t say that I’ve ever really sat through an opera. It’s not that I don’t care for them, it’s just that the opportunity has yet to surface. However, I do find them intriguing. Maybe it’s just because it’s in a language that I do not understand - or maybe it’s just the opposite. The interesting thing about an opera is the fact that whether or not you understand the actual words, you are drawn into the story being told by the music, voice, and acting alone. The words almost seem irrelevant.
You’re probably wondering to yourself why I’m even talking about operas in the first place. You see, I just finished watching the clip below of the hit show, Britain’s Got Talent (obviously it’s a British show). It’s the equivelant of America’s Got Talent (although Britain’s was first) - and let me say, they seem to have MUCH more talent than we in the States.
The person in the clip went on just recently to win the show, but here’s a clip of his first audition - I don’t know if it is his Cinderella-type story or his actual voice, but I sat awestruck and moved by his performance. Maybe you won’t share my amazement, but it doesn’t matter…I’m writing the posts here.
I’ll just let the clip speak for itself…
