VOP Missions Trip to Philly

Thanks to the generosity of some very appreciated people, I was able to make it to Philadelphia this year on the missions trip with the youth group I help with, Voices of Power.

The trip started out differently than planned, due to the passing of my Great Grandma Groh.  Fortunately, we had only traveled as far as Ohio, so I was able to come back for her viewing and funeral and then fly back to Philly to join the group.

Watching the group of teens we had this year was amazing.  The average age of the teens was much younger on this trip, but the spiritual maturity and willingness to serve was far beyond what we expected!  I got more out of just watching their growth than any of them know!

We were able to minister to people of all walks of life and situations.  One of the biggest spiritual “awakenings” came from the sharing of our cardboard testimonies each day.  For those of you who don’t know what they looks like, view my post about it here.  We invited others in the “audience” to join in with their testimonies as they felt led, and GOD LED BIG TIME!

I could go on and on about the week, but I’ll keep it short.  ;)   Below are photos of mostly our free day.  We rode the ducks and went on a mural arts walking tour to view 10 of thousands of building murals in Philadelphia!  Awesome, to say the least!

If you’d like to hear more, give me a call!  ;)
