I STILL can’t believe the year’s over already!  Jessi and I are heading to a Masquerade Ball for the evening as dinner and a hotel - all for FREE!  :)  I helped them design their promotional materials.

We decided we wanted to do something BIG for Mom’s 50th birthday, and well, what’s bigger than a surprise birthday party 800 miles away!

So much has been going on lately that I haven’t had made time to sit down and post anything, and I’m sorry.  We’re gearing up for our big trek to Mississippi (an overnight car trip - woo hoo!) on Wednesday night, but I hope to have you caught up on what’s been going on before [...]

The girls could not wait to get into their costumes - they’ve been asking all week.
We went downtown Bluffton where the businesses were giving out candy to all the trick-or-treaters.
Fun stuff.  They were so cute. 

Today was Jessi’s birthday - another year older and closer to death as we used to say. 
Mom and Dad came over and watched the girls so we could have some much needed time away on our own!
We had a wonderful dinner (as always) at Jessi’s favorite restaurant, Texas Roadhouse, then walked around Jefferson [...]

Mamaw made it home today after waiting and waiting for the doctors to finally make their rounds and release her - a full week sooner than they had originally anticipated - PRAISE THE LORD!
We truly believe that it is because of your prayers that she has come this far.

I decided to create a new post about Mamaw since she has made a turn for the better and isn’t necessarily in “urgent” need of prayer.  ;)  PTL!!
They were able to remove the breathing tube on Wednesday and she is now breathing on her own.  She was finally able to talk Wednesday evening when we [...]

UPDATE, Monday, Aug 18: Today was encouraging.  They backed off of the morphine and she was somewhat out of sedation this evening.  It was nice to see her nodding her head and smiling as we talked to her and especially when she saw her great grandbabies! 
Tomorrow they hope to be able to remove [...]
